Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How long is the rental period?
Rental periods are confirmed at booking and agreed based on your wedding date and collection arrangements.
What if the gown doesn't fit?
We recommend booking a fitting before reserving so you can try it on and confirm the fit. Minor alterations may be possible — discuss at your fitting.
What happens if I damage the gown?
Minor damage is handled by us at no extra cost. Significant damage is assessed case by case. Full details are in your rental agreement.
How does selling differ from listing?
Selling gives you a once-off cash payment and transfers ownership to Korset. Listing keeps your ownership and earns you 60% of every rental — potentially more over time.
How do gown owners get paid?
Payouts are made to your bank account within 7 business days of a completed rental or confirmed sale.
Can I get my listed gown back?
Yes — either party can end the consignment agreement with 14 days written notice. Your gown will be ready for collection within that period.
Is the donation programme really free?
Yes, completely. No cost to donate and no cost to receive. No deposits, cleaning fees or hidden charges of any kind.
Do you travel for fittings?
Yes — we come to you anywhere across Gauteng. Your location is confirmed after booking your fitting appointment online.
